While the cooling of the world’s economy has slowed the pace of business at nearly every level, the recession has changed the game considerably for developers of new mobile technologies – in some cases even opening up new and unforeseen opportunities.
“It’s easy to be gloom and doom” about the economy, said Mark Lowenstein, managing director of industry analysis firm Mobile Ecosystem. “But things are still reasonably good. Mobile is over-indexing the rest of the economy…We’re seeing growth in non-traditional players.”
