2. Have giveaways (e.g. bookmarks or pens) that are useful and give details of your business. Distribute, with the aid of friends and family, EVERYWHERE!
3. Respond to alumni surveys from ANY school you went to and report on what you're doing.
4. Watch local cable TV shows and figure out how to get on them.
5. Fax news releases about your products and your business to local papers, radio and TV shows.
6. Take out an ad in a publication of a local group--the local theater players or a church/school anniversary bulletin.
7. Promise a reward to any of your kids (or their friends) who can come up with a marketing gimmick that brings in business!
8. Offer to make presentations, on a topic related to your product or service, at local libraries or schools. In addition to the "live" audience, these presentations are often videotaped for local cable TV.
9. Keep your eyes open for "specialized" newsletters, newspapers, or other publications which might welcome an article written by you.
10. Get on the World Wide Web and say "hello" to the world with your own home page.
